Minutes of KPHA Board Meeting Tuesday July 18, 2006 5:30 pmThe meeting was called to order at 5:50 pm, The following Board members were present for the Board meeting: Ray Foster, Liz Hyde, and Richard Messina Dave Hafermann, Cyrus Siu (departed at 6:30 pm), Jim Fader, and Maria Sullivan, and Peter Fuller. Tom DeCourcy was not present. Office Manager Juanita Colon was present.
Review of June 22, 2006 minutes. The minutes of the June 22, 2006 minutes were unanimously approved. (Foster was not yet present.)
Manager’s Report. (by Juanita Colon) See attached.
Committee Reports
Water Committee Report (by Dick Glenn) See attached. Jim Fader agreed to identify a contractor to set up the locator markings for our water system. Foster moved and Fader seconded to work with Todd Svetin to obtain a proposal for pending meter orders and crucial orders. The motion was unanimously carried. (Siu had departed.). Dick Glenn is to make inquiry of Pural about its notice that the fee would be increased to $8500 (from $7000) retroactive to June 2006. Issue of emergency generator (Fuller) will be carried over to the next meeting.
Finance Committee (by Liz Hyde) Treasurer’s report. See attached. Based on the previous month’s motion $25,000 was invested in a 30 day CD. Liz Hyde is working with the administrator of the Estate of Gail Greilich (former KPHA accountant) to transfer any remaining records and funds related to her 2005 work for KPHA.
Common Grounds (by Dave Hafermann) Ed Misaki of Nature Conservancy will be meeting with Dave Hafermann, Juanita Colon and others related to common grounds. Ms. Colon will talk with the police about increased patrols due to presence of non residents and racing on the roadways, off road ways (access road to county water tanks).
Design Committee: Don Borden has agreed to serve on the Design Committee.
New Business-Fire Hydrant Repairs-report by Peter Fuller. Installation of meters-Ms. Colon was requested to contact contractors Place or Manaba to facilitate the necessary backhoe work so that meters could be installed on a lot(s).
